Gerry Colverson is currently a Health and Safety Consultant. Gerry has been working as a health and safety adviser for over 20 years and has provided advice to organisations covering a wide range of working environments, including cable laying and repair vessels, associated port facilities and offices, high risk sites with safety cases as well as the full range of work locations a large public authority has to cover. Gerry has been with County Council for 8 years. Gerry is a full chartered member of IOSH.

Alex Ryding works for CooperVision LTD who manufacture contact lenses. The company has seven sites across Hampshire and he is based at one of their Hamble facilities. He is the Health and Safety Manager for all the UK sites and also facilitates global safety. He is a Technician member and need to do the assignment to complete Dip2!

Ian Futcher is a self-employed safety advisor. Originally trained in chemistry and working in pesticide research from 1975, Ian moved in to training and safety in 1992, and in 2001 took on full responsibility for Safety Management for a Gosport-based unit of an international Medical Devices manufacturer, until its closure in 2008. During this time Ian implemented a full Safety Management System, applied an ergonomic evaluation scheme for workplace tasks and introduced the Behavioural Safety Approach. An Associate Member of IOSH, Ian has NEBOSH Diploma, and is a certified Workplace Noise Assessor as well as a qualified Trainer.

Committee Member: Andy Nicholls works for Southern Water and is Senior Health & Safety Advisor currently dealing with a number of functions of the company across Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and the Isle of Wight. Advice is provided to principally support Asset Management (including Asbestos), IT & Estates (including Fire, Building & Facilities Management), Customer Services & Revenue, Legal, Communications, Finance and Human Resources. He is a Chartered member of IOSH and holds a Masters Degree in Health & Safety Management.
Bob Quigley has been involved with Health & Safety matters since 1975 spending 20 years responsible for Health & Safety at Work issues for Westover Motors Group Limited sites within Dorset and for a further twelve years as a self-employed Health & Safety Adviser for Wiltshire and Dorset. He is registered under the National Scheme for Internal Auditors for Quality Systems and Technician Member of IOSH and NEBOSH Qualified General Certificate.

Helen Woodvine is currently the Corporate Health and Safety Risk Manager for New Forest District Council. She has worked within the health and safety profession for over 20 years, originally as a Health and Safety Inspector, and from 1993 as a Safety Practitioner. Her current role encompasses all aspects of safety within the Council, and includes waste management, building and engineering, transport, grounds maintenance, housing, leisure centres, golf centre, the coast and Council promotional projects. Helen is a Chartered Member of IOSH, a Chartered Safety Practitioner, and is also the Chair of IOSH South Coast Branch.
Sarah Wheadon is a Solicitor-Advocate and Associate solicitor with Southampton based Paris Smith LLP.
For many years, Sarah has specialised in the regulatory field where the criminal law regulates business activities.
She advises on compliance with health and safety law and dealing with an investigation by a regulator as well as representing clients at interviews under caution and in criminal proceedings.
Louise Keys is currently the Health and Safety Manager for Marwell Wildlife. She has worked within the health and safety profession for over 10 years in various health and safety roles in both Ireland and the UK obtaining the Irish SafetyCert registration and introducing OHSAS 18001 for a number of manufacturing companies. Her current role encompasses all aspects of safety within the Park including transport, grounds and building maintenance, animal housing, zoonotic disease prevention, the control of contractors and training. Louise is a Chartered Member of IOSH.
